Heading on the S slope of the Endicott Mountains, E of the Iniakuk River, and flowing S to join Bedrock Creek to form Malamute Fork Alatna River, 32 mi. NW of Bettles, Brooks Range

Reported as "Mecklenberg Creek" by P. S. Smith (1913, p. 143), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The present spelling was recommended about 1930 by Robert Marshall after his work in the region.
