Description

Hunter Creek is located heads at junction of Forty-seven Gulch and Ninety-two Hunter Creek and flows W to Minook Creek, 2 mi. ESE of Rampart, Yukon-Tanana High. 6 miles long.

History

Prospector's name reported in 1896 by J. E. Spurr, H. B. Goodrich, and F. C. Schrader, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Named for William Hunter, Ho discovered gold here in 1896 (Prindle, 1908, p. 73).
