Description
Ernie Creek is located flows S from Ernie Pass to North Fork Koyukuk River, 28 mi. SE of Anaktuvuk Pass and 39 mi. NW of Wiseman, Brooks Range. 14 miles long.
History
Named about 1930 by Marshall (1956, p. 7, 8) for "Ernie Johnson of Bettles, the most famous trapper of the North Fork * * * ."
