Description
Atutsak River is located flows N to Yukon River, S of Little Joker I., 18 mi. WSW of Tanana, Nowitna Low. 18 miles long.
History
Indian name reported in 1869 as "Atutsakalakushchargut" by Captain Raymond (1871,p. 23), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In 1885, Lieutenant Allen, USA, spelled it "Atutsakulakushakakat"; U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) published it as "Atutzehhuilcusten." The name has been shortened for obvious reasons.
