Description
Ogilvie Mountains is located in Alaska and Canada, extend SE from 30 mi. SE of Circle; drained by Kandik, Nation, and Tatonduk Rivers; Porcupine Plateau. 65 30'N 143 30'W (west end), 64 30'N, 136 00'W (east end)
History
Keele (1910, pl. 13) noted the name Ogilvie range had been applied in former reports. The mountains were probably named for William Ogilvie, 1864-1912, Canadian explorer of the upper Yukon River.
