Dull Ax Lake is located drains NW to Dry Creek, 5 mi. SW of Carey Lake and 39 mi. SSW of village of Lake Minchumina, Kuskokwim Low. 0.7 mile long.

Local name obtained in 1962 from "Val" Blackburn and Fabian Carey by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
