Description
Oscar Island is located formed by Beaver Creek and the Yukon River, 14 mi. SW of Beaver, Yukon Flats.
History
Local name obtained by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); probably named for Oscar Reinoski who had a cabin here, according to a 1916 manuscript map by William Yanert (Stuck, 1917, map facing p. 122).
