Description
Florence Islands is located between Fortymile Sloughh and Koyukuk River, E of Fry Island, 18 mi. N of Hochandochtla Mtn., Kokrines-Hodzana High. 2.7 miles long.
History
Prospectors' name reported in 1899 by F. C. Schrader, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), applied to the feature then described as a "bar on the river."
