Description
Eightmile Bend is located in the Koyukuk River, 5 mi. E of Allakaket; Kanuti Flats.
History
named in 1885 by Lieutenant Allen (1887, map 4), USA; so called because it is 8 miles upstream from the mouth of the Alatna River.
