Heads at 643000N, 1434000W, flows WSW to the Tanana River, 7 mi E of Big Delta, Yukon-Tanana High. 91 miles long.
History
Named "Volkmar" in 1885 by Lieutenant H. T. Allen, USA. The stream now known as "Volkmar," was called "Goodpaster River" by Lieutenant Allen "in honor of the Goodpaster family of Kentucky." The two stream names were transposed by later map makers.
