Description
Gerstle River is located heads at Gerstle Glacier and flows N to Tanana River, 25 mi. SE of Big Delta, Alaska Range. 40 miles long.
History
Named in 1885 by Lieutenant H. T. Allen (1887, p. 13), USA, for "Lewis Gerstle, president of the Alaska Commercial Company."
