Brooks (1900a, p. 446), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and W.J. Peters note: These snow-clad mountains, which seem to be distinct from the Saint Elias chain, we have called the Nutzotin Mountains. Named after the Nutzotin Indians of this region.
