Description
Chilkat Glacier is located heads in Coast Range about 594500N, 1354830W, trends NW to its terminus at head of Chilkat River in British Columbia, 26 mi. NW of Skagway, Coast Mts. 12 miles long.
History
So named by International Boundary Commission (IBC) survey party in 1922, "because it is at the head of the Chilkat River."
