Description
Lock Island is located in Portlock Harbor, 5.5 mi. NW of Chichagof, on W coast of Chichagof I., Alex. Arch.
History
Named by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) and published in 1928 on Chart 8258. "Lock" is the last syllable of the name "Portlock," the name of the harbor.
