History
This is a translation by US@C&GS of the Russian name given in 1809 by the navigator Ivan Vasiliev the first, Imperial Russian Navy (IRN). Lieutenant Sarichev (1826, map 19), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), published it as "O(strov) Kubyshka."
