Description
Rose Channel is located in Peril Strait, E of Rapids Point, between Little Rose I. and S coast of Chichagof I., Alex. Arch.
History
Named in 1884 by Commander Coghlan, U.S. Navy (USN), "for the little steamer Rose which navigated these waters." The name was published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in the 1891 Coast Pilot (p. 183).
