Cape Georgiana is located on NW tip of Kruzof I., 26 mi. NW of Sitka, Alex. Arch.
History
Named in 1787 by Captain Nathaniel Portlock, RN. (Wagner, 1937, p. 389). This point was also called "Mys Siuchiy," meaning "sealion cape," in 1833 by the Russian navigator Ensign Vasiliev; "Mys Olgi" or "Olgi Cape" by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 8), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN).
