2 mi. N of Port Alexander, on E coast of Baranof I., Alex. Arch. 3 miles long.
History
So named by Captain George Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN), because his work on the northwest coast of North America was ended at this point. "Vancouver's vessels were anchored here from August 1-22, 1794" (Wagner, 1937, p. 382).
