Description
Hanus Bay is located between Catherine I. and N coast of Baranof I., 27 mi. NE of Sitka; Alex. Arch. 2.3 miles wide.
History
named in 1880 by U.S. naval officers for "Lt. G. C. Hanus"; published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) as "Hanus Inlet" in 1883 Ciast Pilot (p. 166).
