Description
In Tongass National Forest on Prince of Wales Island, heading in a small lake and flowing SE to Thorne Bay 4.5 mi NE of the settlement of Salt Chuck, Alex. Arch. 4 miles long.
History
Named by Sainsburg, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in 1956 for the large deer population in the flats along it.
