Description
Wedge Islands is located off-shore group, extends in Clarence Strait, 2 mi. N of Adams Point, on SE coast of Prince of Wales I., Alex. Arch.
History
The largest of these islands was named "Wedge Island" in 1793 by Captain George Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN), because of its shape (Wagner, 1937, p. 421).
