Description
Fair Island is located between Beecher Pass and Duncan Canal, 16 mi. SW of Petersburg, on N coast of Worwodski I., Alex. Arch. 1 mile long.
History
Named in 1887 by Lieutenant Commander C. M. Thomas, U.S. Navy (USN), for charting purposes; name published in 1888 on U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) Chart 705.
