Point Ellis is located between Tebenkof Bay and Bay of Pillars, on W coast of Kuiu I., 25 mi. NE of Port Alexander, Alex. Arch.
History
Named by Captain George Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN), on August 6, 1794, "probably in honor of George Ellis, who accompanied Sir James Harris * * * on a diplomatic mission" (Wagner, 1937, p. 386).
