Blunt Point is located on NW side of Mitkof I., along E shore of Wrangell Narrows at N end of Scow Bay, 2.5 mi. SW of Petersburg, Alex. Arch.;
History
Translation about 1882 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) of "Mys Tupoy" which was published in 1850 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1441. In 1838, the navigator, G. Lindenberg, called it "Mys Zhila," meaning "vein (or lode) cape."
