Description
Dora Bay is located extends S off Cholmondeley Sound, on SE coast of Prince of Wales I., 40 mi. SE of Craig, Alex. Arch. 4 miles long.
History
Named in 1886 by Lieutenant Commander R. Clover, U.S. Navy (USN), for the steamer Dora, one of Alaska's most famous vessels with a record of over 40 years of service in northern waters. See Brooks (1953, p. 402).
