Ogriveg River is located distributary of Kobuk River, Channel, Kobuk River, flows NW, then E, to Ekichuk Lake, 48 mi. NW of Selawik, Kotzebue-Kobuk Low.

Eskimo name obtained by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1955.
