Description
Cosmos Hills is located extends WNW-ESE between Ambler Low. and Kobuk River, Brooks Range. 30 miles long.
History
P. S. Smith and H. M. Eakin, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), wrote "This name is given because (Lt. G. M.) Stoney's winter camp on the Kobuk was called Fort Cosmos" (Brooks and others, 1911, p. 274).
