Description
Umiak Bend is located on Ulik River, 8 mi. NW of Kivalina, Kotzebue-Kobuk Low.
History
Eskimo name referring to an incident here when a skin boat (umiak) was destroyed by rough water; reported in 1966 by E. S. Burch.
