Description
Kugruk Lagoon is located on Seward Peninsula, at mouth of Kugruk River, 4 mi. SE of Deering, Kotzebue-Kobuk Low. 1.2 miles wide and 3 miles long.
History
Eskimo name reported in 1950 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS); derived from the Kugruk River which flows into the lagoon.
