Description
Goodhope Bay is located on N coast of Seward Peninsula, 30 mi. W of Deering; Kotzebue-Kobuk Low. 16 miles wide.
History
so named by Lieutenant Otto von Kotzebue while exploring the region in August 1816 because here he had "good hope" of making important geographic discoveries.
