Description
Pipe Spit is located on Baldwin Peninsula, extends into Hotham Inlet, 8 mi. NE of Kotzebue, Kotzebue-Kobuk Low.
History
Named in 1885 by Lieutenant Stoney, U.S. Navy (USN), (1900, map) derived from the shrine of Saint Terese near the creek's mouth. Reported in 1937 by U.S. Forest Service (USFS).
