Description
In the De Long Mountains of the Brooks Range, 17 mi SSW of Tingmerkpuk Mountain and 53 mi NNE of Noatak, Brooks Range.
History
Name proposed in 1965 by geologists of the B. P. Exploration Co. Inc., "because the mountain has a natural amphitheatre on its side".
