Heads on the N slope ot Thunder Mountain in the De Long Mountains and flows NE, then W, to join Thunder Creek to form the Colville River, Brooks Range

Named in 1925 by a U.S. Geological Survey exploring party because of the severe storms experienced while near this stream.
