Description
Price River is located formed by Key and Wolf Creeks, flows W to Ikpikpuk River, 36 mi. N of its head, Arctic Plain.
History
Named in 1924 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for C.M. Price, an enlisted man who accompanied Ensign W.L. Howard, U.S. Navy (USN), on his expedition from Fort Cosmos, on the Kobuk River, to Point Barrow in the spring of 1886.
