Heads on the NW slope of Sigrikpak Ridge and flowing W, then SSW, to the Chukchi Sea, 6.7 mi SE of Cape Thompson, Arctic Slope.
History
Eskimo name meaning "poke" or "bag for carrying liquid." Reported in 1950 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS). Name derived from nearby Augutaurak (bluff); it is a variant spelling of the same name.
