Heads on NW slope of Mount Salisbury at 690900N, 1462000W, flows NW to Shaviovik River, 28 mi. SW of Flaxman I., Arctic Plain.
History
An Eskimo word for the wolverine; the name was given in 1947 by George Grye, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), "because several of the animals were seen here during the field season."
