Heads in Brooks Range, flows N, then NW to Juniper Creek, 13 mi. SE of head of Shaviovik River, Arctic Plain. 30 miles long.

So named in 1951 by A. S. Keller, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), =to delineate a suggestion of a 4fin' (tributary) to Juniper Creek."
