Description
Flows N to the Oolamnbagavik River, 9 mi upstream from its junction with the Colville River and 13 mi N of Pingaluligit Mountain, Brooks Range. 21 miles long.

Named about 1950 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologists during exploration of Naval Petroleum Reserve No. 4.
