Description
Kikyuktukturo is located on Chukchi Sea coast, NE of Salt Lagoon and 5 mi. NE of Barrow; Arctic Plain.
History
Eskimo name recorded in 1883 by Sergeant John Murdoch, naturalist, to mean "Island pond * * * from one or two little islands (Kikyu'kta) near one end of it." (Murdoch, 1892, p. 28).
