Description
Belvedere Island is located in Stockton Is., off shore of Beaufort Sea Coast, 17 mi. NW of Flaxman I., Arctic Plain. 1 mile long.
History
Named by Leffingwell (1919, p. 94) for the whale ship Belvedere, upon which he returned from Point Barrow to San Francisco in the fall of 1912.
