Humphrey Point is located on Arctic coast, between Beaufort Sea and Pokok Bay, 35 mi. BW of Demarcation Point, Arctic Plain
History
Named by Franklin (1828, p. 145) Royal Navy (RN), on August 3, 1826. The Eskimo name "Imaiknaurak" was reported in 1948 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) to mean "no more water there," derived from the occurrence of the sea encroaching upon and destroying a small freshwater lake.
