Description

On the E part of the S coast of Saint Lawrence Island, in the Kialegak Mountains, 3.5 mi NW of Kialegak Point and 4.8 mi NE of Emeghee Point, 86 mi. SE of Gambell.

History

Eskimo name meaning "big ula" (ulapak) reported in 1949 by Major H. B. Allen, U.S. Air Force (USAF). The ula or ulu is a curved knife used for scraping; the mountain is so called because its shape resembles the ula.
