Unalakleet River is located heads in Kaltag Mts. at 642000N1591600W, flows SW to Norton Sound S of Unalakleet, Nulato Hills.
History
Eskimo name recorded in 1842-44 as "R(eka) Unalaklik" by Lieutenant L. A. Zagoskin, Imperial Russian Navy (IRN); spelled "Unalaklit" in 1852 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1455, which also gives the Indian name as "Tsetseka."
