Description
Kougarok River is located formed by junction of Macklin and Washington Creeks, flows S to Kuzitrin River, 47 mi. SW of Imuruk Lake, Seward Peninsula High.
History
Eskimo name reported on a map of Cape Nome goldfields by David Fox, Jr., dated 1901. Reported in 1900 as "Kugruk River" by Brooks (1901, pl. 11), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). See Kugruk River.
