Heading on the W slope of Taphook Mountain at Kiwook Pass, flowing NW to a swamp at the SE edge of Niyrakpak Lagoon on Saint Lawrence Island, 18 mi. SE of Gambell, St. Lawrence I.

Eskimo name shown on a manuscript map drawn by Lawrence Kulukhan, of Gambell, in 1944. Orth, recorded the name Kiwaruk, meaning growing river, for this stream in 1965.
