Description
Esch Creek is located in York Mts., flows SE to Lost River 28 mi. NW of Teller, Seward Peninsula High. 3 miles long.
History
Named in 1940 by J. B. Mertie, Jr., U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) "after Peter Esch, deceased, a former prospector and assayer of this area". Shown as "West Creek" on the 1908 "Map of Seward Peninsula" by Arthur Gibson.
