Coal Mine Creek is located flows NW to Norton Sound, 0.9 mi. S of Jesse Creek and 7.8 mi. S of Unalakleet, Nulato Hills. 5 miles long.
History
Local name reported in 1952 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS); so called because "there is a coal mine at the mouth of the stream."
