Description
Cheenik Creek is located flows SW to Golovnin Bay, 0.2 mi. E of Golovin and 43 mi. E of Solomon, Seward Peninsula High. 11 miles long.
History
The 1900 cMap of Nome Peninsula" by J. M. Davidson and B. D. Blakeslee spelled this Eskimo name as "Tichnak." Prospectors' name published on the 1908 "Map of Seward Peninsula" by Arthur Gibson.
