Description
Anvil Creek is located flows SW to Little Creek, 2.5 mi. NW of Nome, Seward Peninsula High. 7 miles long.
History
Prospectors' name reported in 1899 by Witherspoon (in Schrader and Brooks, 1900, map 2), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). A rock at summit of Anvil Mountain, near head of this stream, is shaped like an anvil.
