Devil Mountain Lakes is located the larger one 3 mi. long, on Seward Peninsula, 55 mi. NW of Deering, Kotzebue=Kobuk Low.

Local name reported in 1950 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) derived from nearby Devil Mountain.
